What we do
Supported Accommodation Service
At Guided Steps we provide high-quality, person-centred supported accommodation for young people aged 16 and over who are preparing to leave care and take their first steps towards independent living.
Our provision is Ofsted registered and operates under Category 1 placements. We work closely with local authorities and partner agencies to build tailored support packages around each young person’s needs, aspirations and goals. Our homes are designed to promote independence, with en-suite bedrooms, built-in wardrobes and generous communal living areas in a welcoming environment where young people can feel safe and at home.
A calm, safe place to step into adulthood
We bridge the gap between care and adulthood. Support is personalised and practical, covering education and employment, budgeting, cooking, health, emotional wellbeing and everyday life skills. It is built on positive relationships, trauma-informed practice and a strengths-based approach.
Cooking & budgeting
Practical kitchen skills, food shopping and managing money week to week.
Education & work
Support to stay in college, training or employment, including travel and routines.
Health & wellbeing
Registering with services, attending appointments, and support with emotional wellbeing.
Your personal plan
Goals set with the young person, reviewed regularly with their team.
Building independence
Laundry, bills, tenancy skills and everything that makes a first flat manageable.
Moving on
Planning the step into independent living, with support that tapers rather than stops.
